Two different powertrains are offered, a 2.0T and 3.3T. The G70 2.0T is a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that puts out 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The G70 3.3T gets a 3.3L turbocharged V6, making an impressive 365 horsepower and 376 lb-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 8-speed transmission is Genesis' Shiftronic transmission with rev-matching to shift gears at the opportune time. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available on all trims, which works with dynamic torque vectoring to improve handling on all road conditions.

The G70 stands out and makes a statement with its aggressive wide stance, sharp lines, sleek profile and signature Genesis crosshatch grille. The front end is highlighted by open intakes and sweeping headlights, while the short tapering back end adds to the sporty look.
